Chinese mainland reports 6 new imported COVID-19 cases

Chinese mainland reported six new imported COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, the National Health Commission said on Wednesday. Of the six imported cases, three were reported in Shanghai Municipality, one in Shanxi Province, one in Chongqing Municipality and one in Yunnan Province, according to the daily report of the National Health Commission. No new suspected cases or deaths related to the disease were reported, according to the commission.

A total of 1,988 imported cases had been reported on the mainland. The number of confirmed cases on the mainland had totaled 83,611. Besides, four new asymptomatic cases, all imported ones, were also reported, and no asymptomatic cases were re-categorized as confirmed ones. Moreover, 1,569 confirmed cases including seven deaths had been reported in Hong Kong, 46 confirmed cases in Macao, and 451 in Taiwan region including seven deaths.
