China, U.S. and EU reach new consensus on consumer product safety

China, the U.S. and the EU reached a new consensus on Wednesday on improving cooperation in consumer product safety.

At the Eighth China-U.S.-EU Trilateral Summit on Consumer Product Safety in Hangzhou, the three sides agreed to build common standards, improve common supervision, focus on consumer rights and interests protection, and strive to protect the overall safety of consumer products.

The meeting was co-hosted by the GAC, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Committee, and the Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers of the European Commission.
