




Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win on Tuesday visited the Qingdao Haier Group in Qingdao of China.
The Vice-Senior General and party were welcomed by concerned officials who later explained formation of the Haier Group, high-tech modern electronic products and healthcare equipment and plans of the Group. Founded in 1984, the Qingdao Haier Group has been supporting a better life and digital transformation. It’s learnt that the Group has established two major trends, such as modern living and industrial internet, and 10 research and development centers.
71 research organizations, 35 industrial parks, 143 manufacturing centers and 230,000 sales networks around the world. The Vice-Senior General and party also visited the Hisense Qingdao Research and Deveolpment Center.
The Qingdao Research and Deveolpment Center is the Hisense's global research and development headquarters and covers a land area of 227,000 square meters. It’s been working on electronic information industry focusing on TV and communication, industrial information technology and home appliance industry. It’s reported that in 2023, Hisense maintained steady growth with annual revenue of 201.7 billion yuan and gross profit of 13.7 billion yuan.
After the visits, the Vice-Senior General and party attended a luncheon hosted by Mayor of Qingdao at the Qingdao Sea View Garden Hotel. Before these visits, the Vice-Senior General attended the Green Development Forum of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Countries on the 8th of July.
The Myanmar delegation concluded the China trip on the 9th of July; left Qingdao Airport for Kunming by air at 4:30 pm Local Standard Time; was seen off by Myanmar and Chinese officials; and arrived in Kunming at 8:15 pm Local Standard Time.
The Vice-Senior General and party left Kunming by air and arrived back in Nay Pyi Taw in the evening. The Vice-Senior General and party were welcomed back at Nay Pyi Taw Airport by SAC Secretary Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, council members, Union ministers, senior Tatmadaw officers and many other officials.
Deputy Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Min Thu and senior officials from the Office of SAC Vice-Chairman and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs who accompanied the Vice-Senior General also arrived back on the same flight.
