China, Sri Lanka vow to foster new highlights in BRI cooperation

Chinese President Xi Jinping held talks with visiting Sri Lankan President Anura Dissanayake in Beijing on Wednesday. Xi pointed out that the high-quality cooperation between the two countries in joint construction of the Belt and Road and their exchange and cooperation in various other fields have yielded fruitful results.

Dissanayake also expressed the importance of its relationship with China. After the talks, the two heads of state jointly witnessed the signing of several bilateral cooperation documents, including the plan for cooperation in joint construction of the Belt and Road, as well as agreements on Sri Lanka’s export of agricultural products to China.
