China sent four batches of humanitarian aid to Gaza

China has sent four shipments of humanitarian aid to Gaza since October 2023, Li Ming, spokesman of the China International Development Cooperation Agency said at a press conference in Beijing on Monday. Li said China is gravely concerned with the humanitarian situation in Gaza and has provided emergency humanitarian assistance.

In May 2024, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced an additional 500 million yuan, in aid to the Palestinians. The agency has been working to implement relevant measures. “China will continue to cooperate with Egypt, Jordan, the United Nations, and other organizations to explore feasible ways to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza on the premise of fully respecting and understanding the needs of the Palestinian side,” the spokesman said.
