China, Russia & Mongolia hold trilateral summit in Beijing

The heads of state of Mongolia, the People’s Republic of China, and the Russian Federation met in Beijing on September 2nd.

During the meeting, the leaders agreed to extend the Program for the Establishment of Economic Corridors between Mongolia, China, and Russia for another five years. They also approved the implementation of a project to construct a natural gas pipeline from Russia to China through Mongolian territory. They further exchanged views on ways to intensify cooperation in areas such as trade, economy, infrastructure, environment, and tourism.
