China launches 4th batch of low earth orbit satellites

China successfully deployed a new group of low Earth orbit satellites from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi Province on Friday. The launch, conducted at 04:45 Beijing Time, utilized a Long March-6A carrier rocket to deliver the fourth batch of satellites forming part of an expanding internet constellation.

All satellites reached their designated orbits as planned, advancing China’s ambitions in space-based internet infrastructure. This mission marked the 580th launch in the Long March series. The internet constellation project is expected to improve broadband access and support emerging technologies domestically and internationally.
