China, India speed up border talks, agree to maintain peace

China and India held its 30th Meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on Border Affairs on Wednesday.

Both sides agreed to speed up negotiation to maintain peace in the border areas. Both sides agreed to actively implement the important consensus reached during the recent bilateral meeting of their foreign ministers.

They also agreed to focus on specific issues concerning the China-India border, consider each other's reasonable concerns, and strive to reach a mutually acceptable solution as soon as possible.
