China and Africa celebrate Africa Day

China and Africa celebrate Africa Day with the theme of China-Africa solidarity. The theme of this year’s celebration is China-Africa solidarity for a better future. Yesterday, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with diplomatic envoys  from more than 50 African countries and representatives from the E.U.

Foreign Minister Wang stressed that China will strengthen solidarity and cooperation with African countries as a priority in its diplomacy, continue to render each other support on issues concerning each other’s core interests and major concerns, do more to deliver tangibly for African people and be the most sincere friend and most reliable partner of African countries. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the establishment of Forum on China–Africa Cooperation. China and Africa’s relationship has realized leap frog growth and is in its best in history.
