Chile began its vaccination campaign against COVID-19 on Monday in schools for children ages 6 to 11 who have written permission from their parents.

This is taking place as the immunization of children aged 12 to 18 is also underway.  Students will receive the Chinese-based pharmaceutical Sinovac vaccine. There are about 1.5 million students in the first education cycle and that the goal is to immunize them all by December.
