Chilean police chase down, apprehend coronavirus patient who escaped from hospital

Chilean police detained a 26-year-old woman on Wednesday. She escaped from a hospital in the southwest of Santiago after being diagnosed with coronavirus. The patient had entered the hospital on Tuesday with symptoms of the disease and after being examined tested positive.

After the hospital reported the patient's escape, police began a search and found the woman in a market. According to the authorities, during the arrest, the woman threw water and spit on police officers. After her arrest, the woman was transferred to the hospital again. The authorities ordered the closure of all the premises in the market.
