Chile President Gabriel Boric and Brazil President Lula signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in Space Activities for Peaceful Purposes, with the objective of promoting joint space programs and projects.  The National Space Center will have 5,800 square meters and will have an investment of US$19 million in infrastructure and US$15 million in equipment.

With Lula’s participation in the signing ceremony of the memorandum of cooperation in space matters, the Brazilian president concluded a two-day state visit to Chile, where around twenty agreements in security, agriculture, health, science, technology, among others, have been signed as well.
