Under Decree 147 of Viet Nam, children under 16 must register their social network accounts using their parents’ information.

This requirement enables parents and guardians to monitor and manage the content their children access, post, and share on social networks.

The decree also stipulates that cross-border platforms, information websites, and domestic social media providers must classify content and display clear warnings for material that is inappropriate for children.

The Department of Child Affairs under the Ministry of Labor Invalids and Social Affairs, will closely collaborate with international organizations and social organizations in Viet Nam to implement the regulations of Decree 147 in practice.
