Children’s lives threatened by rising malnutrition in the Gaza Strip

A steep, rise in malnutrition among children and pregnant and breastfeeding women in the Gaza strip poses grave threats to their health as the ongoing conflict in the Northern Gaza Strip enters its 20th week.

The situation is particularly extreme without humanitarian assistance, it is likely to continue to deteriorate rapidly. The UNICEF, WFP and WHO call for safe, un-impeded and sustained access to urgently deliver multi-sectoral humanitarian assistance throughout the Gaza Strip. An immediate humanitarian ceasefire continues to provide the best chance to save lives and end suffering.
