






Kayin State Child Labour Eradication Committee held a billboard erecting ceremony to mark the World Day against Child Labour at Sinphyutaw roundabout in Hpa-An Township on Wednesday morning.
After enjoying the performances of the drum and bugle troupe and pom pom dance troupe by students from the No. 4 Basic Education High School, patron of the Kayin State Child Labour Eradication Committee, State Minister U Saw Myint Oo and officials sprinkled scented water to the billboard.
Then, the Chief Minister presented honorary awards to the performance troupes. It was followed by a documentary photo session. Then, the commemorative ceremony of the 2024 World Day Against Child Labour was continued at Zwekabin Hall under the theme “Let’s act on our commitments: End Child Labour!” There, the Chief Minister stressed that it’s a time to make a change to receive better opportunities in eliminating or reducing the child labour issue.
Then, the officials from respective committees presented reports on current work implementations. After a group photo session, the Chief Minister and party cordially greeted the attendees and looked round the displayed photos featuring the child labour eradication activities.
