Charity Feast: Food Ingredients for fruits biryani arrives in Sittwe

The food ingredients for vegetable biryani have arrived in Sittwe Township in the morning on 5th of May.

Starting from 30th May, the Sky Net for people, Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association, Myanmar Licensed Contractors Public Co., Ltd,Myanmar-India-China International Cooperation & Economic Development Association(MICA) and Inter-Faith Friendship Organization jointly organized the charity feast for the cyclone affected areas especially with food difficulty in Rakhine State.

In the morning on 5th June, food ingredients that are needed for cooking vegetable biryani including butter, yogurt and raisin have arrived with Tatmadaw aircraft carrying from Yangon to Sittwe. The food ingredients include cloves, cardamom, bay leaves, cinnamon, cashew nut, lentil star anise, cumin weighing altogether 900 viss.

It has been 7th day of charity feast conducing in Sittwe and other townships of Rakhine state and on the 5th of June, total 1,200 vegetable biryani and 13,000 of rice with egg curry were catered in Sittwe and Ponnagyun townships.

Administrator, Min Gan Ward, Soe Win, said " I feel so grateful and thankful for such donation coming from a far. I wish for them to be able to donate more in the future. "

Similarly, the construction materials have arrived in Sittwe also. The MLCA said the construction materials carried from Yangon for the renovation of schools and universities in the Mocha cyclone affected areas in Rakhine State have arrived in Sittwe townshiop on 3rd of June.

The construction materials include roofs, hollow iron bars altogether over 20 viss and roof related materials which are carried with cargo ship from Bo Aung Kyaw jetty on 27th May. Office head of MLCA U San Oo said that these materials are the first batch arrival.On this arrival ship, cooling oil and peanuts are included along with the construction materials, it’s learnt.
