Charity Feast Donation: Biryani Donation in Nay Pyi Taw continued

With the aims at showing thrivingly flourishing of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar, for being Myanmar as a hub of Theravada Buddhism, ensuring prosperity of the State and contributing to the peace and stability of the world, the Maravijaya Buddha image, the World’s Highest Sitting Marble Buddha Image has been constructed in the Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw.

As the public is allowed to pay homage to the Maravijaya Buddha image from the 8th to the 16th of August between 6 am and 8 pm, but the date for public obeisance with free of charge has been extended from 17th to 19th August, the Buddha Image was packed with more crowd of pilgrims on the 16th of August.

There, well-wishers donated 13,000 boxes of vegetable biryani to the pilgrims. In addition to the donation at the Buddha Park, the well-wishers donated 2,000 boxes of vegetable biryani to Myo Sett Thit Philanthropic Center, Chan Myay Theingi Nunery, Aye Myint Thar San Philanthropic Center, Yellow New Generation Philanthropic Center, Yay Twin Phyu monastic education school, The Gyun monastic education school and Yadana San Mya monastic education school in Pubbathiri and Ottarathiri Townships, Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw.

On the 16th of August, the well-wishers donated a total of 15,000 boxes of vegetable biryani, it’s learnt.
