



Researchers said Myanmar is the most generous country in the world with nine out of 10 adults making donation and half volunteering their time. Also, building pagodas is considered a meritorious deed in the Buddhist world, and most Myanmar people do not hesitate to contribute to such an endeavor.
Construction of the Maravijaya Buddha image, the World’s Highest Sitting Marble Buddha Image in the Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw, aims to show flourishing of Theravada Buddhism in Myanmar, for Myanmar to be a focal point of Theravada Buddhism, ensure prosperity of the State and contribute to peace and stability of the world.
As the public is allowed to pay homage to the Maravijaya Buddha image from the 8th to the 16th of August between 6 am and 8 pm, the Buddha Image was also crowded with pilgrim son the 10th of August. There, well-wishers donated 10,000 boxes of biryani to the pilgrims.
In addition to the donation there, the well-wishers donated 5,000 boxes of biryani at the Sa Ma Taung Philanthropic Center in Lewei Township, at the 100-bed hospital, at the Shwe Myo Station Hospital and at the ShweMyo Monastic School in Tutkone Township, at the 50-bed hospital, at the Parami Philanthropic Center and at the TuZaNaKaRi Philanthropic Center in Zeyathiri Township, at the 300-bed hospital, at the 50-bed hospital and at the YGW Philanthropic Center in Pobbathiri Township, at the 1,000-bed hospital and at the MaSoeYein Monastery in Zabuthiri Township, at the Nyein Aye Chan Thar Home for the Aged in Pyinmana Township and at the Myat Pyin Nyar Philanthropic Center in Ottarathiri Township.
Totally, on the 10th of August, the well-wishers donated 15,000 boxes of biryani in Nay Pyi Taw Council Area.
