An exhibition showcasing Chang’e-5 lunar samples opened to the public in Beijing on Saturday. The samples, brought back in December 2020, marked the completion of China’s three-step lunar exploration program. The exhibition features 0.6 grams of lunar soil from Chang’e-5, Apollo 17 moon rocks, and lunar meteorites from Northwest Africa.

It also includes "Chang’e stone," a new mineral discovered from the Chang’e-5 samples, the first lunar mineral found by Chinese scientists. The event highlights advancements in lunar research and China's growing capabilities in planetary science.
