Chancellor Merz meets President Herzog in Jerusalem

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz arrived Saturday night at the Israeli Presidency in Jerusalem where he held talks with Israeli President Isaac Herzog.

Isaac Herzog, Israeli President said  "We've become very close friends, and for me to see the Arrow 3 missiles being installed in Germany, to defend Germany and Europe, Israeli-made product, means something very unique and moving and important."

This is Merz's first visit to Israel since taking office and reaffirms Berlin's support after ties were shaken by the Gaza war.
