Challenges of sustainable Tiger conservation

Nepal is joining the observance of International Tiger Day along with the rest of the world in a move to conserve tigers. With an increased tiger population, managing its habitat poses a challenge to its sustainable conservation.

The government last year formulated the 10 year Tiger Conservation Action Plan set for the year 2023 to 2032 which includes conducting various programs to manage tiger conservation and manage the challenges created.

Tigers face numerous threats, including climate change, illegal wildlife trade, and habitat loss, which have led to a rapid decline in their population worldwide.
