Ceremony of Paying Obeisance: MCA (Central) held ceremony of paying obeisance

The 15th Ceremony of Paying Obeisance for Senior Comedians and the Comedic Excellence Awards Presenting, organized by the Myanmar Comedians Association (Central), took place on the morning of July 7 in Ward 48, Dagon Myothit (North) Township, Yangon Region.

The event began with the screening of a video clip showcasing the activities of the Myanmar Comedians Association, followed by a performance of the association's honorary song by its members. Next, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint delivered a speech expressing his joy regarding the Paying Obeisance for Senior Comedians.

Following this, Chairman of Myanmar Comedians Association (Central) U Dain Daung, gave words of thanks. Donations were then presented to the Myanmar Comedians Association (Central). Deputy Minister U Ye Tint presented 5 million kyats from the Ministry of Information, and Yangon Region Social Affairs Minister U Htay Aung presented 10 million kyats from the Yangon Region Government.

The Union Solidarity and Development Party donated 2 million kyats, and other donors also contributed. The Deputy Minister then presented Lifetime Achievement Awards to prominent comedians including Academy U Moe Di, U Phoe Saung, U San Moe, U Tein Nyunt, U Paw Lay, U Oke Aw, Radio U Mann Kyaw, and U Shwe Ge.

After that, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Yangon Region Social Affairs Minister U Htay Aung, along with the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Advisory Patrons of the Myanmar Comedians Association (Central), presented honorary awards to the recipients of the Excellence Awards.

Attendees then paid their respects to the senior comedians. On behalf of the obeisance recipient senior comedians, senior comedian Academy U Moe Di delivered a speech of thanks. In the afternoon, the Deputy Minister also attended the award ceremony for the Region and State U-18 Athletics Competition, organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, at the Padetha Sports Ground in South Okkalapa Township.
