An opening ceremony for international military drills was held in western Ukraine on Monday.

chief officer, Michael Henson said "We look at that in a 3 dimensions. We look at that in the human dimension, we look at that in the procedural dimension, and we look at it in the technical dimension. So, it is our job to work together and learn about the countries we're working with - whether it be the Ukrainian partners, the Polish partners, Lithuanian partners, it doesn't matter what country is it. It's all about building partnerships, it's about learning about each other as human beings, it's about learning cultures, it's about learning processes. We're working together to make better process as a team."

U.S. serviceman David Cornigen said the drill involved a brigade combat team of the Washington National Guard, which has been deployed in Ukraine since April. In addition, about 150 more representatives from the U.S. Armed Forces will join the exercises. About 6,000 troops are expected to participate in the drills.
