Ceremony of Offering Waso Robe: SAC Chairman and wife offered Waso Robe

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla offered Waso robes and alms at the ceremony to mark the second anniversary of the consecration for Maravijaya Buddha Image, which took place at Aggadhipati Sasana Beikman in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Nay Pyi Taw on July 7.

Before the ceremony, the Senior General offered alms in the emerald alms-bowl, fruits, flowers, water and oil lights to the Maravijaya Naungdawgyi Buddha Image in the Beikman. The congregation led by the SAC Chairman Prime Minister observed nine precepts administered by the Chair of the State Sangha Mahanayaka Committee Thanlyin Min Kyaung Sayadawgyi and took the Metta Sutta recited by the members of Sangha.

Then, the SAC Chairman and wife offered Waso Robe and donations to the Thanlyin Min Kyaung Sayadawgyi. Next, SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife also offered Waso robes and donations to the Ma-Soe-Yein Taik-Thit Sayadawgyi.

The SAC Secretary and wife, Joint Secretary and wife, council members and their wives and Union-level dignitaries donated Waso robes and alms to the members of the Sangha. After taking sermon delivered by the Ma-Soe-Yein Taik-Thit Sayadawgyi, the congregation shared the merits gained. After the ceremony, the Senior General and attendees offered day meals to the members of Sangha.
