Ceremony of offering alms-food: Sagaing Region CM attended the ceremony

Organized by the Sagaing Region Government, a ceremony of offering alms-food to the monks from six Priyatti monasteries and dry provisions to the nuns from seven nunneries was held at the premises of the region government office in the Sagaing Region in the morning of December 29 and was attended by the Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and wife, members of the Region Government, their spouses, personnel from various departments, and their families.

Initially, the Chief Minister and wife, along with the region government members and their spouses, observed the preparations for the alms offering ceremony, which included the alms-food offertories and dry provisions.

Following this, the Chief Minister and wife and officials and the district/township administration departments participated in the ceremony, offering alms-food to the monks, fruits, and sweets, as well as dry provisions and cash to the nuns.

After that, the Chief Minister and officials attended the opening ceremony of opening ceremony of uninterrupted recitation of Mahapathana Dhamma Discourses held at the Bhogaranthi Vipassana Dhamma Hall in Monywa.

At the ceremony, the congregation led by the Chief Minister observed the five precepts administered by the Presiding Sayadawgyi of Maha Weikzar Theikpan monastery and offered cash donations and offertories to the members of Sangha.

Later, the Chief Minister and wife, and officials observed and supported the cleaning activities conducted by the Region/District/Township departmental personnel, members of fire serive departments, members of Women’s Affairs associations and volunteers at the Sutaungpyea Pagoda,.
