Ceremonies in Yangon: Religious events at Botataung & Shwedagon Pagodas

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and many other officials as well as Buddhist devotees offered the Non-Stale Golden Lotus Robe to the Botataung Kyaik De Att Pagoda on Monday, the full moon day of Tazaungmon. Also, an awarding ceremony for the Robe-weaving competition was held at the Pagoda. The Chief Minister and party offered the Golden Lotus Robe to the Shwedagon Pagoda.
