Ceremonies on Buddha Day: Kayah State CM attended the ceremony

Organized by the Kayah State Government, the ceremony of Buddha Day which falls on full moon day of Kasone and related ceremonies such as consecration ceremony for the Buddha Image, ceremony of pouring water to the Bodhi tree and offering dry provisions to the members of Sangha was held at Myonan Pagoda and SasanaBeikman in Loikaw Township in the morning on 22nd of May. First, the 11 members of Sangha performed the consecration ceremony of the Myonan Pagoda.

Next, the Wut associations recited religious verses and the congregation led by the State Chief Minister, members of State Government, departmental personnel, pilgrims and Wut associations poured the buddha images at the planetary posts and the Bodhi tree.

At the ceremony of offering rice provisions to the members of Sangha and nuns from the monasteries in Loikaw Township, the Chief Minister U ZawMyo Tin, Commander of Regional Military Operation Command, members of State Government and invited guests observed five precepts administered by the Presiding Sayadaw of DhammaGonyi monastery Baddanta Dhammawudha, took the ParittaSuttas recited by the members of Sangha, offered the offertories and cash donation to the Sangha, shared the merits gained and offered the day meal to the members of Sangha.

During the offering rice provisions to the monasteries in Loikaw Township, the State Government and well-wishers donated rice and offertories worth 9.917 million Kyats, it’s reported.
