






The Central Committee on Supervising Ground Census Enumeration held its coordination meeting (1/2025) at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Immigration and Population in Nay Pyi Taw on January 21 with the attendance of Committee Chairman Union Minister U Myint Kyaing.
At the meeting, the Committee Chairman Union Minister emphasized the importance of holding a multi-party democratic general election in 2025. He highlighted the efforts of the Central Committee on Supervising Ground Census Enumeration, along with region and state Census Supervisory Committees, to ensure the accurate voter list. The nationwide population and household census has been successfully completed, with the preliminary results published. The Union Minister called for diligent efforts to cross-check the census data with field survey data, starting at the township level, to ensure the voter list’s accuracy.
The Committee members, including Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Regions and States Chief Ministers and committee representatives reported their plans for departmental cooperation to ensure timely work completion. The Committee Chairman coordinated the necessary actions based on the proposals. The meeting then concluded with the Committee Chairman’s closing remarks.
