Central Committee Meeting: DAQS Central Committee held meeting (1/2023)

Chairman of Central Committee for Data Accuracy and Quality of Statistics Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Planning and Finance U Win Shein gave a remark at the central committee meeting (1/2023) held at the meeting of Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw in the afternoon on 26th April.

In his remark, the Central Committee Chairman Deputy Prime Minister said the data accuracy is crucial for every country and the strong and solid national statistical system is specially required for the comprehensive development of a country.

By receiving Quality of Statistics and accurate data, the policy makers, project planners, private entrepreneurs and the persons who are carrying out the social and economic research can make the development policies, plans and create the good economic environment and the limited resources can be utilized effectively and productively.

As the statistical sector is essential in every development stages, it’s needed to implement the cutting edge technologies and systems etc.

Next, the central committee secretary director general of Central Statistics Organization U Tun Zaw clarified the reformation of Central Committee for Data Accuracy and Quality of Statistics, completed implementation of decisions made by central committee meeting (1/2021), implementation of work groups, changing calculation of consumers index and inflation from 2012 basic to 2017 basic, statistical knowledge enhancement, holding meetings, conducting capacity building trainings, collecting survey and survey calendar and publishing statistical journals.

Then, the central committee members Union Ministers,member of Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states ministers for economic affairs and officials discussed the Data Accuracy and quality Statistics in related sectors and the central committee chairman coordinated requirements.
