



The Central Committee on Private Healthcare Service meeting (3/2023) was held at the Ministry of Health, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 13th October with the attendance of Chairman of Central Committee Union Minister for Health Professor Dr. Thet Khaing Win, members of Central Committee, representatives and special invited guests.
In his opening speech, the Union Minister pointed out that the development of private healthcare service is being encouraged in line with the law, the Services granted license are supervised to comply with the existing law and by-laws strictly, when they are lack of adhering license rules, effective actions are being taken against them under the administrative procedures.
Nay Pyi Taw/Regions and States Private Healthcare Services supervisory committees are overseeing the Services to ensure that they are complying with the designated rules and carrying out inspections from time to time.
The private hospital entrepreneurs need to implement for the safety of patients and healthcare personnel in case of encountering natural disasters such as fire hazard, flood, earthquake and the buildings to be the specific qualifications in line with the guidance of relevant departments, when the healthcare human resources are being appointed, it’s needed to appoint in accordance with the existing law, order and directives and to follow to submit the necessary documents by the time of applying new license and license extension.
Then, the central committee secretary Director General of the department of medical service Dr. Myat Wunna Soe, joint-secretary Deputy Director General Dr. Moe Khaing clarified the status of development of private healthcare Services, reporting special matters, implementation on the discussions in central committee meeting 2/2023, matters approved and documented and the new applications of private healthcare service license, the attendee took part in the discussion and the Union Minister gave a speech of conclusion.
