Census-taking process continuing: Mon State CM oversaw and encouraged the process

The enumeration of 2024 Population and Housing Census is being conducted in Mon State as of 1st October.

In the morning on October 8, the 8th day of the enumeration process, Chairman of Mon State Census Supervisory Committee Chief Minister U Aung Kyi Thein and officials viewed and encouraged the taking-census with Tablets using CAPI technology by the enumeration teams in Myoma Ward (4) of Mudon Township and urged the participants to complete the census enumeration process within specified period and put efforts as the National Task.

Next, the Chief Minister observed the census-taking based on 68 household questions and 18 institutional questions, met with the responsible officials, coordinated requirements for the smooth process of census enumeration and provided necessary assistances.

Mon State has organized 3,675 census enumeration areas in wards and villages across the townships, to conduct population and housing census activities. A total of 1,202 enumerators and supervisors are involved in carrying out the census process, it’s reported.
