Census-taking in Kayah State: State Chief Minister inspected the census-taking process

With the aims at obtaining demographic date to be based on laying down the policies for the social, economic and administrative matters by the State, the 2024 Population and Housing Census is being taking in the townships of Kayah State including Loikaw, Demoso, Hpruso, Bawlake and Hpasawng starting from 7 a.m. on October 1st.

The census-taking is being conducted at the flood relief camps, setting gathering point of flood affected households and the wards escaped from flood.

In the morning, Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin and officials inspected the enumeration of 2024 Population and Housing Census for the flood affected households from Minsu, Namt Kuk and Daw Noe Kuu at Thathana Beikman flood relief camps, presented Census-taking logo T-shirts to the supporting teams and local residents and cordially greeted them.

Next, the Chief Minister and officials encouraged the census-taking at the gathering point of flood affected households from Daw Noe Kuu ward and the innundated houses in door-to-door system and the Census-taking logo T-shirts were distributed.

Then, the census-taking in the wards of Dawtama, Lawdhamma and Namp Baw Wam (a) was viewed, presented Census-taking logo T-shirts and cordially greeted the supporting teams and local residents. The census-taking will be conducted at 5 townships of Kayah State from the 1st to 15th October, it’s reported.
