Census Enumeration: Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister oversees the process

On 13th October, Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko and concerned officials overviewed the 2024 Population and Housing Census Enumeration within Myiek Township, gave words of encouragement to the census takers and local residents and gave necessary instructions.

The population and housing census enumeration is conducted to collect the detailed statistics on population which are crucial in setting policies for nation’s social, economy and management sectors, drawing and implementing necessary projects, strategies and tactics. From 1st to 13th October, population and housing census enumeration have been successfully conducted on 240,000 population of 53,542 households from 430 census tracts within Myeik Township.
