Meeting on enumeration of 2024 population and housing senses took place at the city hall in Pathein Township of Ayeyawady Region with the attendance of Central Census Commission Chairman and Union Minister for Immigration and Population U MyintKyaing, Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win and many other concerned officials.
Duringthe meeting, the Union Minister gave a speech, saying that enumeration of housingcensus will be conducted starting from October 1st to 15th across the country.He added that plans have been made to conduct enumeration processes with over 40,000 census examiners and census takers at over 100,000 enumeration plots nationwide.
The Union Minister stressed the needs to extend enumeration period in some areas due to security conditions and having difficulties on transportation access. In Ayeyawady Region, census enumeration will be conducted at over 14,000 enumeration plots with over 5,400 census examiners and census takers. He called for collaborative efforts of all concerned officials as conducting housing census successfully is the duty of all citizen.
After clarification on preparation measures and work implementations for field enumeration by the Chief Minister, necessary equipment for enumeration of census were handed over. Then, the Union Minister and party viewed the displayed items which will be used in census enumeration period and eracting of Bill Boards.
At district-level training course on census opened at the hall of the No.1 Basic Education High School (Pathein), the Union Minister and party oversaw the conducting of training course and coordinated the requirement.
