Celebration in Nay Pyi Taw: 52nd Anniversary of Printing and Publishing Department

Celebration on 52nd Anniversary of Printing and Publishing Department under the Ministry of Information was held at the Ministry on Friday.

Firstly the documentary video of the endeavors of Printing and Publishing department was displayed.

During the occasion, Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn said the Printing and Publishing Department is carrying out the development of Myanmar literature and literati with the cooperation of local and foreign writers, journalists associations, publishers and distributors associations. Efforts are being made to establish “Sarso Beikman” that can contribute the literati, under the Printing and Publishing Department in the future.

Next, the Union Minister provided uniforms worth over 21 million kyats for the staff of the department and presented honorary certificates and cash to three outstanding staff who passed the courses conducted by Civil Service Academy (Upper Myanmar).

Afterwards, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Permanent Secretary U Myo Myint Maung and departmental heads presented certificates and cash of honor to the outstanding staff who performed excellence in the training courses and work undertakings.

After the lucky draw program for the staff, the Union Minister, Deputy Minister, Permanent Secretary and departmental heads had a luncheon together with officers and staff of the department.
