Celebrating Tradition: Htamane Making Competition at Myathalun Pagoda

Magwe Region Government organized the Myanmar Traditional Htamane Making Competition at Myathalun Pagoda Festival Ground on February 24th.

Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and wife, along with officials, encouraged 14 teams from various departments and a local battalion to compete. Cash prizes ranging from 1 million to 200,000 kyats were awarded to the first, second, third, and fourth-place winners, along with consolation prizes.

Additionally, each competing team received an extra 100,000 kyats, along with participation in the lucky draw program. Following the prize presentation ceremony, the Chief Minister and party participated in releasing hot air balloons. A total of 3 Seinnaban Hot Air Balloons, 2 Nya Meegyi balloons, and 300 small balloons were joyously released by the participants.
