





The ceremony of stake driving for the new building of Central Bank of Myanmar (Mandalay Branch) was held at Hsin Phyu Kan Kwin (Plot No. 409), ChanMyaThaZi (South) Ward, ChanMyaThaZi Township, Mandalay Region in the morning on Friday.
The ceremony was attended by the Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Maung Ko, Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Daw Than Than Swe, Commander of Central Command Ma-J Gen. Ko Ko Oo, CBM Vice Governor Dr. Lin Aung, Mandalay Region Ministers of senior officials from CBM and the Ministry of Construction.
At the auspicious time, the CBM governor Daw Than Than Swe drove the stake and the Chief Minister U Maung Ko and the special guests designated for the driving stakes drove the stakes each and sprinkled with the scented water.
After, tossing the banknotes by the Mandalay Region Chief Minister and CBM Governor, posing for documentary photo, the ceremony was successfully completed. Previously, there was no specific building owned by the Central Bank of Myanmar (Mandalay Branch).
The Mandalay branch building is to emerge after taking the state responsibilities by the State Administration Council. The construction works of new branch office building with 180 feet length and 150 width on the 280 feet long and 467 feet wide land plot and related construction works will be implemented as 2 years project from 2022-2023 to 2023-2024 fiscal years, it’s learnt.
