Cash Donation for Charity Feast: Over 599,000 boxes of biryani and food boxes till July 15

The Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association (Rakhine State) donated 1 million kyats for the ongoing charity feast for cyclone-affected people in Sittwe Township area of Rakhine State.

According to the Chairman of Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association (Rakhine State), the Association was pleased to see the ongoing charity feast donation for over 10,000 cyclone-affected people per day in Rakhine State and the cash donation was made to participate.

Meanwhile, the charity feast donation continued on the 15th of July as the 47th day. In Sittwe Township area, in the morning of the 15th of July, donation of 8,300 boxes of Indian-style rice and fried anchovies were made in places including the Fire Services Department, the Sittwe Station, the Forest Department, monasteries, the Nursing Training School, the People’s Hospital, governmental offices and ParDaLake Village as well as for members of the Myanmar Police Force and volunteering groups who are making efforts for rehabilitation works in the extremely severe cyclonic storm-affected areas.

In the evening, donation of 4,700 boxes of Indian-style rice and fried anchovies were made in SayTaMar IDP camp, KhaungDokeKar IDP camp, BuMay Village and OhnTaPin Ward.

It’s reported that till the 15th of July, over 599,000 food boxes were donated in Rakhine State. The SKY NET for People, Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association, Myanmar Licensed Contractors Association (Rakhine State), Myanmar-China Buddhism and Cultural Exchange Association, Myanmar-India-China International Cooperation & Economic Development Association, Myanmar Licensed Contractors Public Co., Ltd and Inter-Faith Friendship Organization are jointly carrying out the daily donation of charity feast in Rakhine State. The donation is set to take place till the 18th of July, it’s learnt.
