





A ceremony for provision of cash assistance to the displaced individuals due to terriorist acts within Kayah State took place at the hall of Loikaw Township on February 14.
Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin attended the ceremony ad made a speech, highlighting the need to resettle back at their original places, re-operating the livelihoods including agriculture and livestock works.
He called for cooperative efforts in implementing the development works and rehabilitation tasks. During the ceremony, over 80.8 million kyat cash assistance were provided for more than 4,000 displaced persons from Loikaw, Demawso, Bawlakhe and Maese Districts in Kayah State and other three regions and states.
Under the guidance of the Head of State, cash assistance from the National Disaster Management Fund have been provided to the displaced persons, and the state government is implementing to ensure cash distribution reached to the displaced individuals systematically. It’s reported that cash assistance from National Natural Disaster Management Fund will be provided to displaced persons for 5 times in 2025, with 20,000 kyats for each.
