Cash Aid: 2nd cash donation ceremony for storm-affected areas

Governmental departments, entrepreneurs and well-wishers have been donating cash for the cyclone ‘MOCHA’-affected people and areas. The 2nd cash donation ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Nay Pyi Taw Council office.

It’s attended by the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and many other concerned officials as well as entrepreneurs and well-wishers. This ceremony began with a speech by the Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin, stressing the government’s efforts for rehabilitation in storm-affected areas.

He also explained the donated cash will be used in the storm-affected areas through the Central Natural Disaster Management Department. The event continued with donating cash and presenting certificates of honour. It’s reported that for the 1st time, the Nay Pyi Taw Council, governmental departments, entrepreneurs and well-wishers donated over 363 million Kyats. This time, the donated cash amount is over 63 million Kyats.
