Cargo Vessels: Arrival of provisions in Sittwe

With the guidance of the National Disaster Management Committee, the Governments of Rakhine State and Yangon Region are supervising the provisions of rice and foodstuff to Rakhine State.

On Saturday, two vessels, loaded with rice, basic foodstuff, consumer goods and construction materials arrived at the Multipurpose Jetty in Sittwe. Chief Minister U Htein Lin and officials visited the jetty to oversee the unloading of goods. They coordinated the needs with officials, instructing for systematic unloading process, prompt distribution to the market, avoiding loss and wastage and worksite safety.
