Cargo ship tilted in the sea: Tatmadaw (Navy) conducts rescue measures

Security Force members of Tatmadaw (Navy) which are conducting security operations in the Myanmar sea near Hai Gyi Island of Ayeyarwady Region conducted search and rescue operation as it was learnt that a cargo ship was tilting in the water about 10-mile southwest of Hai Gyi Island at about 11 pm on 10th September.

Due to bad weather and strong winds, about 4,000 tons of cement bags loaded on the vessel moved and the vessel tilted and water entered the engine room. It is reported that the security forces of the Tatmadaw (Navy) pumped out the water entering the engine room and performed the necessary rescue operations.
