Capacity Building: Programme in India for judges and judicial officers

Myanmar delegation comprising of 40 trainees from the different level of courts including Assistant Secretary, Directors, Deputy Directors, Assistant Directors and Staff Officers from the Supreme Court of the Union and judges from District Courts and Township Courts were set off from the Yangon International Airport on April 15 to attend “the 3rd Training and Capacity Building Programme for Myanmar Judges and Judicial Officers” which will be held from 17 to 20 April at National Judicial Academy, Bhopal city, Madhya Pradesh Province in India.

In the training, the delegation will learn the subjects of Indian Constitution, Indian judicial system, judicial ethics, judgment writing, court administration, Evidence Act, court technology, Civil and Criminal Laws, Forensic, Civil Procedure, Civil Trial and Alternative Dispute Settlement.

The trainees will have a chance to visit Bhopal State Museum, Tribal Museum, Boat Club and Great Stupa situated in Bhopal. This training program has been implemented Under the Memorandum of Understanding (2018) between the Office of the Union Chief Justice and India National Judicial Academy for capacity development of Myanmar judges and judicial officers.
