Capacity Building: English translation course No. 1/2023

In order to sharpen the skills of officers and staff of the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, the opening ceremony of English Translation Course No. 1/2023 was held at the Multi-Purpose Hall in Nay Pyi Taw Sports Training Camp (Gold camp) on Tuesday.

In the opening ceremony, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan gave an opening speech, saying that the course is to understand the international issues related with youth affairs, make sure that there is no language gap to communicate between ASEAN countries, study to improve language skills to learn advanced technologies more effectively.

In 2023, the ASEAN Minister’ Meeting on Youth (AMMY) and ASEAN Senior Officials' Meeting on Youth (SOMY) will be hosted by Myanmar and the staff of the Department of Youth Affairs will also have to participate in the relevant sectors, he added. The Union Minister also urged the trainees to try hard and learn the lessons from this course to improve their skills.

This English Translation course No.1/2023 is from 27th June to 24th July at the department of Youth Affairs during office hours from Monday to Friday with 20 trainees.
