Canadian PM attends Ukraine Independence Day celebrations in Kyiv

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney joined Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday at a ceremony in Kyiv to celebrate the country's Independence Day.  Carney called for "a just and lasting peace for Ukraine". Zelensky thanked other world leaders including Trump, Chinese President Xi Jinping, King Charles and the pope for sending messages to mark the occasion.
