Canadian FM urges support for Iran protesters

Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly hosted a virtual meeting of female Foreign Affairs Ministers to discuss the situation in Iran. Joly said , "Young women in particular are challenging Iran's repression and structural gender inequality. And they're doing so at great risk.
The woman of Iran is speaking clearly. As women foreign ministers, we have the responsibility to help amplify the voices of women in Iran. As women leaders from around the world, we can make a powerful statement of support for women's rights in Iran and by extension.”
