Canada floods submerge highways, residential neighbourhoods

Severe rainfall flooded streets in Abbotsford, British Columbia, after heavy rains swept across southern Canada, forcing evacuations and disrupting daily life in the city. Boats were seen navigating through submerged neighbourhoods as emergency crews responded to rising water levels. 

David Neal, local resident said  "Coming down here and seeing all this water, it's horrible. And I know about all the people being evacuated, and it's just really sad to see." 

Residents reported widespread damage to homes and infrastructure, raising concerns about local preparedness for extreme weather events.
