






Jointly organized by Yangon Region Information and Public Relations Department, Region Education Department and Region Youth Affairs Committee, the event of the development of school libraries and raising reading habit was held at No (7) Basic Education, Industrial, Agricultural and Livestock Breeding High School, Insein Township on 23rd September.
First, Myanmar Youth Affairs Central Committee Secretary Deputy Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Zin Min Htet, Vice Chairman of Yangon Region Libraries Supervisory Committee U Maung Maung Oo, Chairman of Insein District Administrative Body, District Education Officer and a Township elder opened the event by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.
Next, the Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister, Region Ministers and officials viewed around the students’ contests and activities.
Then, the students performed with the song of Education Bank of Library and the Most Beautiful Flowers are Blossoming.
After giving a remark, the Chief Minister presented the books and periodicals to the District Education Officer, gift of honor to the film actor Kyaw Kyaw who will talk on topic of the Benefits of reading and the cash of honor to the students who performed with the songs.
After that, Deputy Minister gave a talk on the benefits of reading and provided books and periodicals and the sports materials for the students and the headmasters accepted.
Next, the Region Minister accepted cash donations, books and periodicals donated by the well-wishers for the campaign of development for the school libraries and raising reading habit.
Later, the film actor KyawKyaw talked on a topic of the benefits of reading, students performed with the songs and the Director of Information and Public Relations Department presented prizes of honor, it’s reported.
