Aiming to strengthen the business skills of MSME owners and young entrepreneurs, the Startup Ignite Program 2026 was launched in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

The program was jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and SME Development and the Myanmar Women Entrepreneurs Network. Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than attended the event, and made a speech. He said rapid technological and market changes are creating new opportunities for young people, encouraging entrepreneurs to identify real market needs, develop practical solutions, manage costs carefully and make effective use of digital technology.

He also stressed the importance of adding value to local resources, creating jobs and developing products that can replace imports and eventually reach international markets. The program included discussions on entrepreneurship, banking services, business expansion, startup management and experiences shared by successful entrepreneurs.
