Budget Estimation of the Union: Deputy Prime Minister attends the coordination meeting

A Coordination Meeting on presenting the Budget Estimation of the Union for 2024-2025 fiscal year was held at the meeting hall of the Planning and Finance in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday and the Deputy Chairman of Financial Commission, Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win delivered a speech at the meeting.

In his opening speech, the Deputy Prime Minister said that this meeting will scrutinize final Union estimate budge for 2024-2025 fiscal year which has been scrutinized by the Ministry of Planning and Finan in Union level and the Regions and States Budget estimate pre scrutinizing committees.

The State administration Council government is administrating the State budget systematically in line with the public financial management methods to remedy the country’s economy went downward due to the COVID-19 and gain development of the country’s economy.

Deputy Chairman of Financial Commission acknowledge the ministries, organizations and regions and states governments which well overcome the challenges amidst the disturbances and destructive acts on the country’s interest in the income and expenditure and successfully implemented the economic objectives set by the State.

Due to such challenges, some ministries could not expend the budget allocations fully and returned to the government. Such returning hurt the investment and production sectors and drop the GDP.

The Prime Minister put such returned budgets in the education, health and road transportation sector for the returned budges not to be in vain. If the country is suffered from larger budget deficit, it can drive the country’s debt to rise etc.

Next, the Chairman of Union, regions and states budget estimate pre scrutinizing committee, SAC member clarified the inspections of the pre scrutinizing committee for the 2024-2025 fiscal years regions and states budgets.

Then, the secretary of financial commission Union Minister U Win Shein clarified the 2024-2025 budget estimate drawn by the Union level ministries and organizations and the Deputy Minister U Maung Maung Win explained the 2024-2025 Union budget scrutinized by the Ministry of planning and finance.

Next, the Union Auditor General Dr. Khin Naing Oo clarified the auditing process regarding with the Budget.

Afterward, the Union level organizations, persons, Union Ministers and officials clarified the budget of the relevant organizations and the secretary of the financial commission supplemented requirements.

After coordinating requirements, the SAC Vice Chairman, Deputy Prime Minister gave a speech of conclusion.
